Masterson’s Pub , nestled in the bustling area of Moonee Ponds , markets itself as a trendy “hipster” hangout , but my most recent experience at this establishment became a nightmarish ordeal . While the bar may look welcoming at first glance , what I experienced behind its walls was appalling and beyond comprehension .
The Condition of the Premises : Filthy and Neglected
From the moment I crossed the threshold, it was apparent that cleanliness was not a priority at this bar . The surfaces were tacky , and a nauseating aroma of stale beer and uncleaned toilets permeated the entire pub. With a smell of a mixture of ammonia , decay and sour vomit . The bar area , which should be the centerpiece of any pub, was littered with unwashed glassware and litter that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks . The toilet was in even worse condition —overflowing , with a broken handle and walls stained in what I can only assume was human excrement .

Many visitors have reported observing cockroaches darting across the serving surface and evidence of additional information rodent infestations in the adjoining rooms.
